Hah! I just mentioned your article to my friend Robert, knowing that he'd recently decided to buy a Nook from B&N. I sent him the link. Apparently he's already ordered, along with a goodly amount of other stuff, and there's already been one delay. Upon reading of your experiences, his response was, "Oh, fuck that! No way am I dealing with that."
He promptly canceled his order and purchased one on eBay. Apparently he's had other bad ordering experiences with Barnes and Noble.
